Finally, Syphon has been uploaded and launched on KDP

It's been nearly 1 1/2 years from the start of this project until now. What most people don't know is that I actually started this book as a way to deal with my Mom's death. She passed in October 2014, and I started this book durning NaNoWriMo less than a month later.

I was able to complete the NaNo challenge, but the mental exhaustion from writing that much that fast (over 10K words on the final day, finishing up at around 11:30pm) caused me to leave it unfinished for nearly a year before I took up the virtual pen to finish it out, writing an additional 30K words.

With plans of publishing it last December before Christmas, I had given what I thought was the final revision to a couple beta readers. One was my wife, another a close friend. What I got as feedback wasn't what I wanted to hear, but it's what I needed to hear.

With their suggestions firmly in mind, I went back to the revisioning board and lopped off nearly 3K words from the first half of the book, and doing another set of revisions for the entire book, speeding up the pace and cutting unnecessary content as much as possible.

Closing in on being able to publish my book, I had the unfortunate issue of needing to go on strike from my primary source of income. So lots more time, lots less money. What it did give me the chance to do is finish polishing Syphon and having the chance to finally publish it for your reading enjoyment.

I look forward to hearing from you and what you thought of it.

Chad
